"Experience Oklahoma" Programs

 

The Division of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources offers "Experience Oklahoma" programs oriented toward educating international visitors about the agricultural sector of the State of Oklahoma. These programs are also referred to by the term "Reverse Study Abroad".

The following programs are currently offered:

"Agriculture of Oklahoma" offered for approximately 80 students and 4 faculty members from the autonomous University of Chapingo in Mexico. This program is offered during the last week of June and has been offered annually.

"Experience Oklahoma" is offered in summer (May -June) for faculty members and executives from the Universidad Popular del Estado de Puebla (UPAEP) in Mexico. This program combines basic english language instruction with field trips and guest lectures. Individuals outside UPAEP may also be invited to attend this program - please conatact us for more information if you are interested.

The Executive Summer Program will be May 11 to May 29, 2009

The Faculty Summer Program will be June 1 through June 26, 2009

"International Agricultural Leaders" is a program offered for high school age students during the summer. It has a duration of one week. Both students from Oklahoma and overseas are eligible to apply.
