From the Department of Agricultural Economics....

Lindsey Price (above, at Teotihuacan in Mexico) is a junior here at Oklahoma State University in the Department of Agricultural Economics and is majoring in Agricultural Business. She has participated in the SANDS/FIPSE Study Abroad Program offered through Dr. Peel; she spent five months at the University of Chapingo in Texcoco, Mexico. She also spent a month in Oaxaca, Mexico studying at a language school. She has become fairly fluent in the Spanish language and hopes to use it in the future.

She is a member of Aggie X and Quiz Bowl and likes to play sports, read and hang out with her friends in her free time. She enjoys traveling and hopes to someday visit Europe, Australia and would like to participate in another language program in Mexico just to make sure that her skills are where she would like them. She learned so many things in Mexico, a lot of things she never thought she could do like being more confident in communicating and interacting with people. She also learned a lot about herself and the world which was worth the trip in itself.

She is originally from Burwell, Nebraska and came to OSU because her father graduated from here and is now a rancher. Her mother is a nurse and she has a younger brother who attends Nebraska. Her future plans involve either going into production with her father or looking for internships to gain more experience. She is open to trying anything that will enhance her knowledge and skills.

“Travel and go to as many places you can, and keep in touch with the people you meet abroad,” said Price.
