Italy 2008!

Dr. Leon Spicer of the Animal Science Department is leading a group to Italy in the Spring of 2008. This will be the third year that we have taken a study abroad group to visit this exciting destination.

College of Agriculture Study Abroad Programs

OSU's College of Agriculture offers many exciting short-term study abroad courses every year. Usually 8-10 different courses are offered. Recent destinations include England, Scotland, France, Ireland, Italy, Germany, Peru, Japan, Honduras, and Thailand. Departures are usually in one of three periods: in May a few days after the end of finals week and returning before June 1st; winter break departing right after Christmas and returning about January 10th; and spring break. These short term courses usually earn the student three credits at OSU. What an exciting way to expand your horizons!

According to the American Council on Education, 93 percent of undergrads who wanted to study abroad never did. If you're one of them -- or if you got a taste of travel and want to do more -- now's a great time to do it before a career, mortgage, kids, and other responsibilities loom large in your life. Not only is it fun, travel can be life-shaping -- and the independence, flexibility, and comfort with other cultures you learn can be career-enhancing, too.
